Subject: How do you get feedback from your event?

The Oasis

Return from Watson Homestead
Our Women’s Retreat was phenomenal! We used Sheri Rose Shepherd’s His Princess, Love Letters from Your King as the springboard for our theme. Friday night, every woman got a tinsel tiara at our candlelight supper and was escorted to her seat. The giggles were contagious! Don’t we all need to be reminded that we’re royalty? We’re Daughters of the King!
Garnering Responses
Didn’t you love it on the Family Feud, the way Richard Dawson yelled out, “Survey Says?” A survey helps you feel the pulse of attendees. Asking open-ended questions is a way of nudging people to give more feedback than a “yes” or “no” answer. There are many things you can ask about on your survey: the schedule, the food, room accommodations, cost, topic relevance, location, and so on. People will take time to fill it out, if your keep the questions short and sweet. It lets them know that their opinion is valued. Last weekend, one of our questions was, “How did the Lord speak to your heart while you retreated from your daily life?” Here is a sampling of those responses. It takes a retreat to… visit with other gals, come to an understanding that it’s ok to not do everything, recognize answered prayer, see God’s hand in my life, learn to trust God’s timing, let go of the hectic pace of life, find out that I’m God’s princess, get an opportunity to swim, experience peace and joy, find time to shed baggage from home, get permission to relax and enjoy nature, be reminded of our priorities in life, become aware that God treasures me when I don’t treasure myself, bring me out of my comfort zone, get an attitude adjustment, find out what free time is like, be still before God, remember how to worship, embrace the difficult times in my life because God’s in control and all is well, see how important friendships are, share your story, find renewal, and restoration!
What’s New?
I’m packing again! I’m driving out with a friend to her new home in Utah. The three day trek will give us an opportunity to see God’s beauty displayed across our great land. On the road again…
